Congradulations to Panos Patatoukas and Maria Loumioti, graduates from AUEB's Department of Business Administration, for receiving respectively the 2011 Competitive Manuscript Award and the Grant Thornton Doctoral Dissertation Award from the American Accounting Association.

Panos (PhD Yale, Assist. Professor at Haas Business School, Berkeley University) is recipient of the AAA 2011 Competitive Manuscript Award for his manuscript "Customer-Base Cocentration: Implications for Firm Performance and Capital Markets".

Maria (Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Accounting & Management, Harvard Business School, Harvard University) is recipient of the 2011 AAA/ Grant Thornton Doctoral Dissertation Award for Innovation in Accounting Education for her dissertation "The Effect of Loan Syndication Structure on the Stewardship Role of Accounting".
