Dr Rakesh P. Singh, Chair Professor of
Economics and Strategy, Director - Union Bank Centre for Banking and Economics Excellence, Great Lakes Institute of
Management Chennai (India), will deliver an open lecture entitled: "India on the Move".
The lecture will take place on Thursday 2nd July 2009, 18:00-21:00, at AUEB's Building for Postgraduate
Studies (47A Evelpidon), 8th floor, amphitheater 802.
Dr Rakesh P. Singh is Chair Professor of Economics and Strategy, and Director of the Union Bank Centre
for Banking and Economics Excellence at the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, India, where he is currently
setting up a Center for Experimental Management in collaboration with Yale. As Director of Executive Education he has
launched and spearheaded a world-class e-MBA in collaboration with Yale and Kellogg's School of Business.
Professor Singh's research, teaching and consulting interests evolve in the areas of Business Economics,
Business Forecasting, Business Strategy and Supply Chain Management. He has undertaken numerous research projects for
government and business internationally and has received several rewards for teaching and research excellence. Author of
four books and nearly 50 scientific papers in academic journals and conferences, he is also a prolific author in leading
newspapers and trade journals.
