The Department of International and European Economic Studies at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the Center for Economic Studies and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research (CESifo) of Ludwig-Maximilians University will organize a conference on "Government, Institutions, and Macroeconomic Performance" on May 29-31, 2008.
Relevant topics include issues such as:
- Measures of institutional quality
- Bureaucracy, property rights, corruption and political stability
- Institutions, investment and growth
- Economic policy and institutions
- Sclerosis and reforms
- The role of economic integration
- Globalization and institutional choice
- Determinants of institutions
- Other topics along these lines.
