Welcome to the Internationalization Office of Athens University of Economics and Business!
In my capacity as Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Growth, and on behalf of our Rector, I warmly welcome you to our webpage.
AUEB is widely regarded as the premier business and economics University in Greece, and a leader in SE Europe. We are a small, highly specialized research-oriented University based in Athens, with a rich history spanning more than a century.
AUEB has stood at the forefront of internationalization over the decades: from offering the first Master’s program in English at the end of the ‘70s and being one of the first Greek Universities to participate in the Erasmus Program in the ‘80s to creating novel study programs in the ‘20s we are keen to explore new partnerships. Examples of recent international programs at AUEB include the AUEB Study Abroad program, an opportunity for students from international institutions to carry out 5 months of study in Athens while gaining credit back home, and the soon-to-start BSc in International Business & Technology, our first English taught 4-year undergraduate program for international students.
We invite you to explore our webpage and reach out to us for further information or to explore institution-wide synergies.
Prof. Nancy Pouloudi
Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth
The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is established in the academic community, as well as among students, society, and international ranking agencies as a leading Greek University in the scientific disciplines it treats. AUEB has 3 faculties, 8 departments, and 29 Postgraduate Programs, of which 9 are already English-taught. It also has 33 research laboratories.
The University's unwavering strategic goal is active participation in the international academic environment, the development of prestigious international collaborations and generally the strengthening of its international impact and recognition through excellence in research and education.
Being a pioneer, since 1987 AUEB has started student exchanges through the Erasmus program. Currently, approximately 450 foreign students visit AUEB annually through the program, while more than 230 inter-institutional Erasmus agreements have been implemented.
To achieve the goal of internationalization, AUEB has defined five (5) strategic priorities.
1: Strengthening the international presence of the Institution
2: Strengthening International Mobility Programs
3: Strengthening existing English-speaking Master's Degrees and creating new ones
4: Strengthening international collaborations for education and research
5: Developing English-speaking undergraduate programs
To implement these strategic goals, AUEB participates in numerous international organizations and international rankings of higher education institutions, in order to improve the services it provides and further strengthen its international position and visibility.
We invite you to explore various partnership opportunities!
