The Department of Economics of the Athens University of Economics and Business supports the organization of the 24th Conference on Research on Economic Theory and Econometrics, which will take place at Ios from July 7 through July 11, 2026.
This summer school involves invited faculty and PhD candidates from Greece and abroad, in various areas of economic theory and econometrics. The first meeting took place in 2002 and the series has since been continued each summer.
This year the set of invited participants includes Simon Anderson (Univ. of Virginia), Javier Bianchi (Minneapolis Fed), Olivier Coibion (Univ. of Texas at Austin), Russell Cooper (Liaoning Univ. and EUI), Eugenio Miravete (Univ. of Texas at Austin), Andrea Prat (Columbia), Matthew Rabin (Harvard), Sergio Rebelo (Northwestern), Hélène Rey (LBS), Patrick Rey (Toulouse School of Economics), Enrico Spolaore (Tufts), Pedro Teles (Banco de Portugal and Catolica Lisbon SBE); also Myrto Kalouptsidi (Harvard), Stelios Michalopoulos (Brown), Stavros Panageas (UCLA), Elias Papaioannou (LBS) and Evi Pappa (Univ. Carlos III de Madrid) among several other distinguished guests. The program also includes several presentations by advanced PhD students and junior faculty.
