Professor Diomidis Spinellis has received the designation of “Distinguished Contributor Recognition Program” by IEEE Computer Society 

 

Diomidis Spinellis, Professor of Software Engineering in the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics and Business, has received the designation of “Distinguished Contributor Recognition Program”, by the worldwide recognized scientific association IEEE Computer Society, as a Charter Member of the relevant Initiative. 

The IEEE Computer Society is the premier source for information, inspiration, and collaboration in computer science and engineering. Connecting members worldwide, the Computer Society empowers the people who advance technology by delivering tools for individuals at all stages of their professional careers. Its resources include international conferences, peer-reviewed publications, a robust digital library, globally recognized standards, and continuous learning opportunities.

The IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Contributor Program was introduced in 2021 as part of the Society’s 75th Anniversary. The program showcases the immense combined technical expertise and innovation power of its membership while recognizing volunteer commitment. Professor Diomidis Spinellis is the only Greek scientist to have received this distinction from the IEEE Computer Society.
