Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) visits AUEB

On May 21, 2025, the Athens University of Economics and Business welcomed a group of 10 students from Fox Valley Technical College (Wisconsin - USA) and 3 of their chaperones at its premises in the building on Troias Street. The visit to AUEB was initiated through the American Embassy in Athens.

During the visit, students, after being welcomed to AUEB, attended a short presentation with information about the institution, its internationalization strategy, and opportunities for cooperation. They then attended a 90-minute presentation by Professor of Banking and Finance Mr. Georgios Kouretas, on the recent Greek financial crisis and the outlook and prospects of the Greek economy. The presentation focused on the causes, the way the crisis manifested itself, measures taken, and its social dimensions. Students asked a number of questions and expressed particular interest in the topic of the presentation.

The visit ended with a short lunch in the atrium. The two institutions discussed opportunities for collaboration on the sidelines of the visit, and committed to explore further upon the college's return to the US.
