Dimitris Karlis, Associate Professor at the AUEB's Department of Statistics is the new Biometric Bulletin Editor. He will officially begin his three-year term on 1 January 2013.

Dimitris Karlis has been a member of the International Biometric Society (IBS) since 2001 (EMR), and served as publicity officer for EMR since 2006 and as EMR Correspondent to the Biometric Bulletin since then. He holds a PhD in Statistics (AUEB, 1998). His research interests refer to mixture modelling, multivariate count data modelling, time series for discrete valued data and clinical trials among others. He has authored/co-authored 65 papers in peer-reviewed statistical journals, including Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A, Statistics and Computing, Statistics in Medicine and several others.
