8th Conference on Research on Economic Theory & Econometrics

The 8th Conference on Research on Economic Theory and Econometrics will take place at Tinos from Wednesday July 8 through Sunday July 12, 2009.

This summer school involves invited faculty and PhD candidates from Greece and abroad, in various areas of economic theory and econometrics. The first meeting took place in 2002 and the series has since been continued each summer.

This year the program includes keynote lectures by G. Constantinides (Chicago), S. Durlauf (Wisconsin), J. Geanakoplos (Yale) and A. Orphanides (Central Bank of Cyprus). Invited talks will also be given by S. Anderson (Virginia),

C. Hennessy (LBS), H. Polemarchakis (Warwick), E. Spolaore (Tufts), J. Valimaki (University of Helsinki) and D. Vayanos (LSE), among other distinguished guests. The program also includes presentations by advanced PhD students and junior faculty.

The conference is organized jointly with the Prefecture of Kyclades - Subprefecture of Tinos and the AUEB's Department of Economics.
