Greeting from the Director of the MSc Program
The MSc in Human Resource Management contributes to the development of specialized HR management professionals who, through their essential scientific knowledge, contribute to the well-being of both organizations and employees. As the program celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, I reflect on the progress that the field of Human Resource Management has made, while at the same time recognizing how much more it still has to offer to organizations and employees.
The post-COVID era highlights even more strongly the need for specialized HR professionals capable not only of managing core HR functions such as recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance evaluation, but also of shaping strategies and policies for a workplace that prioritizes mental and physical health, work–life balance, equality of opportunity, inclusion and diversity, as well as digital transformation and the technologies of tomorrow.
In order to respond to this need, the MSc in Human Resource Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business is built upon four pillars:
- Offering courses that combine knowledge with the development of essential skills
- Maintaining a balance between theoretical background and professional specialization and training
- Faculty members who possess both scientific and academic expertise as well as substantial practical experience
- Students who are selected based on strict criteria regarding academic quality, abilities, and experience
Our shared ambition is to contribute to the development of HR professionals in our country and, through them, to support the growth and well-being of organizations and human resources in Greece.
