Mental health counseling service

The mental health counseling service began operating in May 2001. The service employs a physician specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as in the psychodynamic approach to mental health issues and the counseling of psychosocial problems.

 

Purpose of the Service

The purpose of this service is to support and assist the University Community—especially students—in dealing with various problems they may face during their academic life.

Some of its areas of focus include:

  • Exam anxiety, difficulties in studies, challenges in adjusting to student life
  • Relationship and communication problems with parents, friends, partners, etc.
  • Personal issues (lack of interest, phobias, psychosomatic symptoms, eating disorders, etc.)
  • Life events (illness, death of a loved one, etc.)

 

How It Operates

The service is located in the main building of the University, at 76 Patision Str, next to the Student Club Office and across from the Medical Office.

It operates every Monday – Tuesday – Thursday from 10:30 to 14:30, by appointment.
