Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) launches the AUEB Alumni Badge – Official degree verification with a single click
The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) takes a pioneering step by launching the first degree verification badge ever implemented by a Greek university. Strengthening its connection with its alumni community, AUEB introduces the AUEB Alumni Badge, a digital badge that officially confirms an alumnus’ academic degree with just one click.
The AUEB Alumni Badge is an innovative tool for professional recognition. It incorporates the university’s official branding and reflects the prestige and long-standing history of AUEB, reinforcing the sense of belonging within the alumni network.
Each badge is linked to a unique verification page URL, hosted on AUEB’s official domain, where the alumnus’s full name and academic title(s) are listed. Any employer, partner, or organization can verify the authenticity of the degree quickly and reliably.
AUEB Rector, Professor Vassilis Vasdekis, expressing his satisfaction with the system’s implementation, stated:

How the Badge is issued:
The badge and its unique verification link are generated through the official AUEB alumni platform – AUEB Alumni. To obtain the badge, alumni must register on the platform, where their academic degree is verified through university systems and faculty records.
