Adam Vrechopoulos is an Associate Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), School of Business, Department of Management Science and Technology (DMST). Since 2003 he is the Scientific Coordinator of the Interactive Marketing and Electronic Services (IMES) Research Group of the ELTRUN Electronic Commerce and Electronic Business Research Laboratory at AUEB, School of Business, DMST. Since 2008 he is a member of the Associate Teaching Staff of the Hellenic Open University and, among others, he has served as researcher at the Electronic Business Interaction (EBI) Research Group at Brunel University, UK. He has an extensive teaching experience in the context of several undergraduate and graduate programs and significant research activity in the areas of Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Retailing and Digital Marketing from Brunel University, Department of Information Systems and Computing, UK, an MBA (major: Marketing) from the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA) and a BSc from the AUEB, Department of Informatics. He has participated in the submission and implementation of many research proposals and projects and he has wide administrative experience in the organization and coordination of conferences, conference tracks, educational programs, research and professional seminars, working groups, etc. as well as significant teaching experience in the context of research and professional training seminars. Also, he has successfully supervised a significant number of PhD and Master theses and Field Study Projects, while he has designed and developed a series of new courses in undergraduate and post-graduate programs. His published work includes more than 100 research papers in international scientific conference proceedings, edited volumes and scientific journals (Journal of Retailing, Information Systems Journal, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Information Management, European Journal of Marketing, Information & Management, etc.), 2 books, 1 edited volume (as co-editor) with an international publisher, 2 sections in 2 textbooks, digital educational material (e.g. case studies, etc.), series of articles in business journals and press, etc. According to Web of Science-Thomson Reuters he has 457 citations (Sum of Times Cited without self-citations) on his published work and 30 of them refer to "4*" and "4" journals of the ABS list, positioned in different disciplines (last update: 13/4/2018), while according to Google Scholar he has 2569 citations on his published work (last update: 13/4/2018). He has served as associate editor, guest editor, editorial board member and reviewer in international scientific journals and as program scientific committee member, associate editor, track chair, session chair and reviewer in international scientific conferences. Finally, he has served as member in various scientific bodies and, among others, he has participated in various industry events and initiatives relevant to his research interests (e.g. invited speaker, member of scientific evaluation committees, organization and coordination of sessions in conferences, etc.), while in the past he has worked as business executive and freelancer in the fields of Marketing, Sales and Public Relations. Finally, he has served for several years as member of the National Karate Team of Greece with series of important international distinctions, while he participates until today in championships of the Olympic sport of Karate (e.g. 4th and 6th place in the 2017 and 2018 National Championship, respectively, in the +84kg, +18 years category).
