Dimitris Georgoutsos is Associate Professor of Finance, at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He received his diploma in Economics from University of Athens, his M.Sc. in Economics from London School of Economics, and his Ph.D. from University of Essex, UK.
He has published, among others, at: "Journal of International Money and Finance", "Journal of Macroeconomics", "European Economic Review". He is co-author (with N. Karamouzis) of the book: "The taxation of income from Capital in Greece", pub. Hellenic Bank Association & A. Sakoulas, 2000.
He had participated in various projects such as: "Taxation and Cost of Capital" (European Commission),"The Taxation of Financial Assets in Greece" (Hellenic Bank Association), "Application of the Capital Adequacy Requirements directives on Greek Banks" (Commercial Bank of Greece), "Evaluation of the performance of Closed End Funds in Greece", (Hellenic Investment Company), "Macroeconomic models for the Greek economy", (TMR programme,
