APOSTOLOPOULOU DIMITRA

Dimitra Apostolopoulou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business, where her research focuses on the use of financial instruments for risk management in the context of the energy transition. She is also a Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies and an Honorary Visiting Fellow at City St George’s, University of London. Prior to joining the Athens University of Economics and Business, she worked at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies while also serving as a Lecturer at Christ Church, University of Oxford. Earlier, she was a Lecturer at City St George’s, University of London, where she served as Programme Director of the MSc in Renewable Energy and Power Systems Management and was a member of the Energy, Sustainability and Net-Zero Research Centre and the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre. Before joining City, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. She holds a PhD and a MSc degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has industry experience with Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) in Chicago. She has been invited to deliver lectures and seminars at leading academic and research institutions internationally.
