APIDOPOULOS VASSILIS
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. In parallel, I am an affiliated researcher at the research unit "Archimedes" of the Athena Research Center.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the R.U. "Archimedes" (2024–2026) and at the MaLGa center of the University of Genova (2019–2023). I completed my PhD at the Institut de Mathématiques of the University of Bordeaux, with the thesis title "Inertial Gradient Methods for Convex Optimization" (2016–2019), and obtained my Master's degree at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 – École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (2014–2016).
My research interests focus on Mathematical Optimization, Machine Learning, and Inverse Problems.
