BILIAS IOANNIS
Yannis Bilias is professor in the department of International and European Economic Studies at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) with expertise in quantitative methods. He received his PhD in economics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995. He served as an assistant professor in a joint position in the departments of Economics and Statistics at Iowa State University and as an associate professor in the economics department of University of Cyprus. He has extensive teaching experience in the subjects of econometrics and statistics, both at introductory and advanced levels. His research interests are in the applied and theoretical econometrics and statistics with focus in microeconometrics. Many researchers have cited his work. His papers have published, among others, in academic journals like Τhe Annals of Statistics, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and in the Palgrave Handbook of Econometrics series. He has presented research papers in prestigious international conferences like NBER, North America Summer Meetings of Econometric Society. Finally, he has served as member of the Scientific Program Committee in the Econometric Society European Meeting (ESEM) 2002, August 25-28, Venice and the Organizing Committee of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Midwest Econometric Group, Iowa State University, Ames, October 8-9, 1999, as well as referee in various academic economic journals.
