Temporary electronic access to hundreds of e-books in the IEEE eLearning Library until 30.06.2020

We would like to inform you that, as part of our activities to support distance learning for the duration of the coronavirus, the IEEE e Learning Library is providing free access to its e-books until June 30, 2020.  Access to the content is possible only with authentication via the VPN service or via Shibboleth (Select Institutional Sign In from the publisher’s web site  -->. Shibboleth --> Heal-link --> Athens University of Economics and Business --> institutional password).  

The IEEE eLearning Library offers high-quality online courses with topics that are related to engineering sciences (aeromechanics, biotechnology, informatics, telecommunications, robotics, energy, etc.)  Hundreds of hours of courses in basic and emerging technologies are offered, providing the teaching staff and the students at academic institutions with enriched ways of learning. 

When you are using the content of the IEEE eLearning Library, please remember the following points (this is a copy of the message from the provider).

  1. IEEE is the owner of all rights, titles, and interests in and to the database, including all copyright and other intellectual property rights under United States and International laws.
  2. The database is offered herein on an «as is» basis. IEEE makes no warranty as to the quality, performance, or compatibility of the database.
  3. Authorized users are not permitted to create a searchable archive by using robots or intelligent agents to access, search, and/or systematically download any portion of IEEE Xplore.

NOTE:  Publishers can revoke at any time that they wish free access to content that they have and consequently, it may not be possible to access the content wherever it is not covered by a subscription by HEAL-Link or the Library.  Please follow the guidelines for proper use as incidents of improper use may result in free access being revoked. 

The information for the subscription electronic sources that are offering open access for a limited time, only for the duration that the measures for the pandemic are in place, is continuous and updates will be given at every opportunity.  Please follow the News of the Library on our website for any updates or take a look on our continuous update about remote access to existing and new digital sources and services.
