Collaboration of the Athens University of Economics and Business with the Hebei University of Economics and Business

On Friday, May 7, 2021, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB), with the aim of establishing cooperation to promote academic teaching and research.

The Memorandum was co-signed by the President of HUEB, Professor Dr. Bing Liu and the Rector of AUEB, Professor Dimitris Bourantonis.

The two Universities will actively promote the development of Greek-Chinese collaborative educational programs, through the exchange of visits of teaching staff and students, to improve the development of academic teaching and the promotion of educational quality.

The Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth of AUEB, Professor Vassilis Papadakis, stated: "This cooperation is part of our internationalization and the establishment of long-term relationships with internationally recognized educational institutions in common scientific fields of interest. With Hebei University of Economics and Business we agreed - on the basis of mutual benefit - to actively promote, as a first step, the development of Greek-Chinese collaborative educational programs and the exchange of teachers and students to enhance the quality of education and the cultivation of international experience. In the second phase, we will co-decide on further implementation actions with the aim of expanding academic research and transferring technological knowledge. "

The meeting was attended by Mr. Wang Qiang, the chargés d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Mr. Tian Lei, Cultural Attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Professor Dr. Bing Liu, President of HUEB, Professor Dr. Zhiqiang He, Vice President of HUEB, Professor Liwei Shang, Director of Office of Foreign Affairs of HUEB, Professor Dimitris Bourantonis, Rector of AUEB, Professor Vassilis Papadakis, Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth of AUEB, Professor Vassilis Vasdekis, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Personnel.
