Top Certification for the Internal Quality Assurance System of the MODIP of Athens University of Economics and Business
The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) has been re-certified by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), receiving the highest possible evaluation across all quality criteria. The University achieved excellent performance and received outstanding remarks in relation to the seven core criteria that constitute the evaluation framework for the awarding of the quality certification.
As part of the certification process, an external review of the Institution was conducted, which included an on-site visit by a five-member panel of external evaluators and experts appointed by HAHE. The visit took place at AUEB during the week of March 3 to 8, 2025. Throughout the evaluation, the panel held a series of structured meetings and interviews with the University’s central administration, Heads and academic staff of the Internal Evaluation Groups (OMEA) of the Departments, students from all levels of study, academic unit coordinators, administrative staff representatives, alumni, and stakeholders from the wider community. In addition, the panel visited classrooms, research laboratories, and other facilities to assess the adequacy and quality of the University’s infrastructure.
This certification confirms the effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and maturity of the IQAS implemented at AUEB, in accordance with the Quality Assurance Certification Standard for Internal Quality Assurance Systems of Higher Education Institutions, as well as the principles and guidelines of the European Higher Education Area.
