International Distinction for the Athens University of Economics and Business in the Field of "Economics and Business Administration"

The international ranking agency US News has ranked the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in 326th place, recognizing it as the only Greek university among the world's top institutions in the field of Economics and Business for the year 2025–26.

According to US News, AUEB demonstrated particularly strong performance in the criterion "percentage of publications from international collaborations relative to the national average," ranking 32nd worldwide. Additionally, AUEB achieved a high ranking in the criterion "research reputation of universities by geographic region (Europe)," where it placed 38th globally.

US News collected data from the Web of Science bibliographic database for the five-year period 2019–23, using the following evaluation criteria: a) the university’s research reputation in its academic fields, b) the number of publications, c) the number and impact of citations, d) the number and percentage of publications in the top 1% and top 10% by citations, and e) the percentage of publications from international collaborations.
