In 2010 the transition of the University heating system from oil to natural gas was completed mainly due to the lower intensity of carbon dioxide (CO2).
The replacement of all old lamps with new low energy consumption category A lamps in all campus buildings brought about a reduction of 82% in the emissions of pollutants attributed to their use.
