What is an innovative startup?
A startup is a new business formed to search and implement a repeatable and scalable business model around a product, service, process or a platform, in order to meet a marketable need.

The goal of the early business model of the startup can be revenue, or profits, or users, or click-throughs – whatever you and your investors have agreed upon.

How do I apply?
If you are ready to move forward your idea or startup then submit your application here.
Fill in your application carefully. Only complete applications, in English, will be taken into consideration. The more precise information you give, the better your chances. And the earlier you apply, the better!
The selection will take place through a selection form in the first round and an interview (in English!) in the second round.
The deadline for applications is January 27, 2019.

How are startups selected?
This is based on predefined criteria including the product, traction, market potential and team evaluation, as well as the fit for the programme. We’re continuously screening applications and evaluate them in collaboration with our key partners. The programme is entirely in English – the pitches during the demo day will also be in English, so a good knowledge of the language is a prerequisite.

When will I know if I’m selected?
We’ll get in touch with you by February 20, 2019.

What happens if I am selected?
You participate to the programme for free. The programme will be held in two phases (dates are subject to change):
Phase 1:
3-week intensive validation programme by IdeaHackers. You will put your startup to the test and make sure you have a solid business case.
● March 4 – March 8, 2019
● March 18 – March 22, 2019
● March 25 – March 29, 2019
Preferably, the whole team will be available full time during these three weeks. This is an intensive course taking place during both on and off office hours.

Phase 2:
After the 3-week full-time programme all start-ups will get continued support by Orange Grove and IdeaHackers until Demo Day on May 14th. During this phase you will focus on developing your technology and giving value to your first customers.
Phase 2 takes place from March 30th – May 14th.

Other important dates you need to be available for:
11 Feb – 14 Feb 2019 Selection Interviews
4 March 2019 Introduction day – meet and greet
14 May 2019 Demo day
The programme will take place in Athens, at Orange Grove.

What is a demo day?
At the end of the programme shortlisted teams or startups will have the opportunity to pitch for an audience composed of international investors, VCs, the startup community and corporates. A jury will select the best 3 startups. During such events startups are often discovered by investors, find their first client through the corporates and/or receive extensive press coverage.
