RESEARCH

Born in Athens Greece. She received her B.Sc. and her Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has conducted Postdoctoral studies and research in Research Centers.

Anastasia has seventeen years Research experience as Principal or Collaborating Researcher in National and European Projects design and/or implementation.

She has served as a Reviewer in many International Scientific Conferences and as a Reviewer and a member of the Editorial Board of International Scientific Journals, as well as member of International Programme Commitees of International Scientific Conferences.

Research productivity is summarized in various articles (more than 100), monographs or in collaboration with other researchers, in International Journals, International Conference Proceedings and in International Books.

She is a member of ACM, AMIA, KES, IRMA and Senior Member IEEE.

Current Research interests are:

Basic Research: Quality Assessment and Improvement, Statistics, Reliability modeling, Mathematical modeling, Intelligent Systems.

Applied Research: Quality Auditing, Computational Intelligence, Web Applications, Web Engineering, Educational Methodologies.

Anastasia is Editor in Chief of the "International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare" and the "International Journal of Systems Biology and Biomedical Technologies", both Official Publications of the Information Resources Management Association (IRMA International).



TEACHING

Anastasia is teaching in Higher Education for more than 20 years. She has served (Sept. 2001- today) as Visiting Faculty (PD 407/80) in the fields of Business Applications Programming, Digital Systems Design, Business Solutions with Software Applications, Applied Information Technology in undergraduate studies in Higher Education in Greece. She also has teaching experience in Postgraduate Programmes (Athens University of Economics and Business, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) in the fields of Web Applications, Telemedicine, Computer Networks and Statistics.

Furthermore, she has extensive experience in professional training in Informatics and Statistical Decision Making at the National Center of Public Administration and Local Government (1993-today) and in the National School of Public Administration (1998-today) in Greece.
