The Department of Marketing and Communication was established in 1992 and is the only university department in Greece that specializes in Marketing, offering studies in the fields of Marketing and Communication at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The goal of the Department of Marketing and Communication is to operate as a center of academic excellence. It tries to respond continuously to current scientific developments and the demands of the economy for specialized professionals with a high level of scientific training. The Department, through research and education, supports the country’s businesses and the country's efforts towards economic growth and prosperity. During its 20 years of operation it has produced distinguished scientific work that has received international recognition and has made a significant contribution to the Greek economy through the multifaceted educational services that it provides. The Department of Marketing and Communication contributes to the recognition of the Athens University of Economics and Business by maintaining the well-respected place in the academic community which it has earned. The Department is proud of its unusually rich research output, which has been published in highly acclaimed international scientific journals and presented at international conferences, and which successfully competes with the corresponding work of related departments of well-known universities abroad. This output provides the best proof of the quality of the Department's work.
In addition to the undergraduate program, the Department offers the MSc Program in Marketing and Communication (full and part time), as well as the MSc Marketing & Communication, Specialization in International Marketing (in English). Also, the Department supports the MSc in Human Resources Management, the MBA International Program (in English), the MBA Program in Greek (full and part time), the Executive MBA, the Athens MBA program in collaboration with NTUA and the MSc in Heritage Management in collaboration with the University of Kent, UK. Finally, the Department offers a Doctoral Program in Marketing and Communication.
